Something sort of odd happened to me last week. I was watching my
favorite animated promotional crawls and network logos when suddenly,
for no discernible reason, all of the glittering, live-action coming
attractions stopped and some very brief programming came on the
screen, the sort of which I haven't seen for a very long time. It
appeared to be a "show" or "movie" of some kind, with utterly no
advertising tie-ins of any kind. Fortunately, it only lasted for a
minute or two before the whirling, noisy, clattering melange of logos
and advertising resumed. I hope this isn't some kind of trend or
something.
